Busy doing other things.
Hey! Today. Mitchell pointed out that I don't Have any performances planned in April. What was I
thinking? I should have planned a Paris Moves. or another Live "Showcase." Next months "Showcase" will feature "Frances Sjoberg"
literary director for the UA. She's a gift. UA and I are part of that April T.P.F. Slam I mentioned the other day.

Poetic Politics
You would think in the realm of Poetry, we are free from lil games. But I am as
guilty as the next person for dawning the rally cap and play'n ball. Shit, I kind of like it!
Whatever right?
But what do you know?
It seems that The Tucson Poetry Festival and "The FunK" might actually be friends
after all. Teresa Driver the new Exec. Director and I are old buddies from the days when Epic and Hazy Dayz were the
place to be for Poetry. If they treat her right, they will be rewarded w/ more support than they could have ever got before.
Maybe the "Mcarty Era" has ended and they might be open to my "Kiss no ass"
attitude. And the Tucson Poetry Festival might actually care what us "Performance Poets" think.
Or maybe I just don't play well with others.
We'll see. Keep your eyes open.

Lamplight Reading
Frances Sjoberg was the feature yesterday. Her words are as elegant as she is beautiful. She couldn't
do the set she planned due to unforeseen circumstances, but she did a great set anyway. Open Mic was good, Professor did a
cool multi-voice poem (He should have the patent on that) Dr. was the shit. Norman was stellar. We had 3 new readers
including Jesse Dylan Grace, Tucson has a new Word Warrior to play with. Thanks to all that attended, Frances really
brought them out. She is AWESOME!
