On a sad note...
This time of year(Poetry Month) I usually start gearing up for one of my favorite events of every year. The Arcosanti
Spoken Word Festival & Slab City Slam. I have had the great honor and privilege to have participated in every annual
event since it's inception in 2001. With the generosity of promoters Ira Murfin and Dan Seaman I was allowed to serve in any/every/whatever capacity of my choosing from Feature to Promoter to Moocher.
And I will remain forever GRATEFUL for those experiences. To all my friends that would normally look to Memorial
Day Weekend to congregate... I think I will miss you Scarecrow, most of all.

Lamplight this Sunday!!!!
On Sunday April 6, from 4-6pm The Lamplight Reading Series will be
filming its Poetry Open Mic. for upcoming episodes
of The FunKtional Adix Showcase.
Participants should show up at least 15 minutes early and expect to have 5 minutes
to
play with. There will be a 20 poet limit, but we will try to accommodate
more.always free, donations appreciated.
The FunKtional Adix Showcase enters it’s 6th season and is currently airing on
Access Tucson cable channels 2 times a
week.
