It took a little longer to confirm then originally thought, but you try to get all the board
members together during their vacation and see how fast that happens. But as always Kristen Nelson (Executive Director for
Casa Libre) comes through. So now I can officially announce that
The Lamplight Reading Series has officially moved in!
Wait... I already did that huh?
I don't care! I'll type it again! The Lamplight Reading Series
will now be held at the Jewel on 4th Ave known as CASA LIBRE en la Solana! This is AWESOME! Casa Libre is such an important
part of our arts and culture in Tucson. It is an honor to be working with them. Also, if your not familiar w/ them we are
located just down the street from our old location on fourth Ave.
Now, because of the late confirmation there will be an open Mic, but no feature. I may run some video
though, maybe a tribute to the late great George Carlin, whom I consider the best SLAM POET EVER! Even though calling George
Carlin a SLAM poet is an insult to him.
Also
Casa Libre is Closed all of August so there will be a shifting of future Features. No worries kids.
