Lamplight Reading Series 03/06
Frances Sjoberg comes by car salesmanship honestly. She comes by poetry by hook and by crook. She's never
trusted language as far as she can throw it, but it's what she loves more than just about anything. Thus she works its
fault lines, tries to make it quake, or collapse, or sing, or love her back by zeroing in on something she doesn't already
know. She recently returned from a writing residency in Taos where she finished a manuscript, Slipknot, and started
a project on the making of the atomic bomb.

Many of you have been witness to this living piece of history! "The Professor" in not just a Poetic Historian, he is
a long time activist for many worthy causes. His words flow within the political arena w/ the classic "Beat Poet"
flavor that befits an ageless Word Warrior. To steal a lil from one of his Versus: "I yelled
'One, two, three, four! We don't want your fucking war!' in Richard Nixon's face. And was there to watch his shit
eating grin just fucking crumble when... "
The professor has been around for sure, and to the open minded masses, he still has tons to
teach!
